Impact of Giving

In addition to ISB’s ongoing fundraising initiatives, we raise funds for special, larger projects that enhance our campus and our community. The latest such project was the the Cambridge campus expansion and the move of our Maternelle from Arlington to the Cambridge campus in 2018.

To free up space in our main school building and provide a dedicated section to each of our four Divisions (Maternelle, Lower, Middle, and Upper School), we signed a 20-year lease on an adjacent building on our Cambridge campus in October of 2016. Conversion of this former convent building into a functional school space has now added 16,702 sq ft of beautiful learning spaces to our Cambridge campus. The renovation has yielded 6 spacious, bright classrooms, a dedicated arts and science center, and the installation of a much needed elevator and an access ramp. What’s more, the expansion has allowed us to make more space in the main building, benefitting the students across all Divisions.

Then in the spring of 2019, our first Giving Day for Play raised critical funds to build a beautiful new playground in front of the new Maternelle building to accommodate our youngest students.
