Preschool through Grade 12

What a year it has been! 2020 may have changed the way we live our daily lives, testing our strength, our patience, and our resilience, but, together - we made it!

Through the herculean efforts and unwavering commitment of our teachers and staff, and in partnership with our students and families, ISB met the challenge of 2020, and rose above!

We are proud to have been one of the first schools to move to fully synchronous remote learning last spring, and that we are currently one of a handful of schools in the Boston area providing on-campus learning in all grades.

Each and every day, together, we go above and beyond to ensure continuous, safe, outstanding educational experience for our students.

This giving season, we ask you to join the ISB Together 20-20 fundraising challenge, which runs through December 31st, 2020.

Why we raise funds this year

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the immigration ban, ISB is experiencing a drop in enrollment this year, even with full-time on-campus operation. This translates into a significant shortfall of our tuition revenue as compared to our budget forecast for 2020-2021. At the same time, our expenses related to health and safety, payroll, technology needs, and financial aid for our families have all increased.

Your support of this year’s ISB Annual Fund is vital for addressing the school's greatest needs in the areas of:

Health and Safety
From hand sanitizer dispensers in classrooms, to additional costs for proctors and aides, as well as staff performing daily cleaning and disinfection of frequently used surfaces, to mandatory COVID-19 testing of faculty and staff, and the outdoor classroom tents, your gift contributes to the costs of maintaining a high level of health and safety in our spaces.

Our Faculty
Our inspiring, dedicated teachers are the hallmark of ISB education. From professional training and development, to specialized subscriptions, to diversity and inclusion workshops, to innovation in student enrichment activities, your gift funds what our teachers need most to provide the world-class education to our students in person and remotely.

Technology
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated tech-enabled education everywhere, and ISB will continue to invest in the latest technology for our classrooms. Your gifts help fund video conferencing tools, online learning management software, voice amplifiers, and other digital solutions to keep education moving forward.

Financial Aid
The financial aid needs of our families have increased with the pandemic. This year alone, we have awarded an additional $500,000 in financial aid, helping 34 more ISB students in need than last year, for a total of 124 students. We are also assisting our families who are experiencing furloughs and job losses. We are projecting that this level of need will continue into the next school year and beyond, at a time when our tuition revenue remains lower than usual.
