Christopher Wadsworth

Christopher Wadsworth has served on the ISB Board since June 2017. He received his pre-college education in the public schools of Winchester, MA and at Phillips Academy in Andover. He earned his BA from Harvard College in 1962 and subsequently earned his MAT from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an MA in History from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences while working at Harvard as a member of the Admissions Office, an assistant in the Freshman Dean’s Office and Director of the Advanced Standing Office, a program designed to enable particularly well-prepared students to accelerate their studies during their undergraduate years. At age 29, he was named Headmaster of Nichols School, a college-preparatory school in Buffalo, New York and spent over three decades heading schools – 10 years at Nichols, 14 years at Belmont Hill School, and 8 years at Robert College (a middle and high school for Turkish students in Istanbul, Turkey).

In 2001, Chris returned to the United States to become the first Executive Director of the International Boys' Schools Coalition, an organization of approximately 150 boys’ schools around the world. He retired from IBSC in 2006. 

Chris lives with his wife Lori in Lexington and Dennis MA. He has served as a Trustee of the Cape Cod Museum of Art and Cape Cod Academy and is currently a member of the Corporation of Belmont Hill School and a Trustee of the Dennis Conservation LandTrust. Chris and Lori have two grown sons.
