Events & Traditions

Nearly every Friday afternoon during the school year, parent volunteers host ISB’s most beloved tradition, “Friday Bread Sales.” Parents and students line the Gym Lobby to purchase their favorite croissants, baguettes, and more ahead of the weekend. All proceeds support OneISB and help defray the cost of community events.

New and returning families are encouraged to join us for a morning of coffee, croissants, and conversation. Fellow ISB parents, Welcome Committee families, and the ISB Senior Leadership Team will be present after the morning drop-off for this annual welcome-back tradition.

Allez, les Blue Terriers! Grab your Blue Terrier gear and join the ISB community at Dilboy Stadium for an evening of friendly competition with the Upper School’s varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer team and the British International School of Boston. The International Cup is a family-friendly event for all four Divisions to unite and support ISB.

It's once again time to grab your Blue Terrier gear and join the ISB community as we cheer on the Blue Terriers to victory at the Cambridge Cup. Our varsity girls' and boys' basketball teams will play against CATS Academy Boston. The event includes player introductions and halftime contests, with pizza, snacks, and ISB gear for sale—and another chance for all four divisions to support our Upper School students. 

Enjoy a community afternoon out on the ice at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton - home to the Boston Bruins practice facility! Families are invited to join for as much or as little time as they wish. All ages and abilities are welcome. This community event is free to families and includes skate rentals courtesy of OneISB.

It’s time to cheer for our Middle School basketball teams! Like the Upper School’s Cambridge Cup, March Madness is a chance for our Middle School student-athletes to shine. The event includes player introductions, giveaways, a halftime contest, and more.  March Madness is a family-friendly event for all four Divisions to unite and support ISB. 

A two-week event when parents, students, faculty and staff come together to present information on the various countries represented in our diverse community. The event culminates with the Maternelle International Buffet featuring deliciously fabulous dishes contributed by our parents and teachers.

Each spring, the ISB community gathers for a night of celebration and support of the School’s programs and students. The Gala is ISB’s largest fundraiser of the year, raising critical funds needed for the School to offer a robust student experience, support our extraordinary faculty, and enhance our hallmark programs. 

This event, an annual cornerstone of the ISB experience, features visual arts and design exhibits, with students from Maternelle through Grade 12 exhibiting their work. There are also student presentations in theatre, music, and more!

Les Foulées du LIB is our annual running endurance challenge for all our students from TPS to Grade 5! Each students chooses a distance they intend to run with their classroom and PE teachers. Parents are invited to cheer on our runners, help with safety along the route, and participate in a special parents-only run. 

Join fellow ISB families for a final community gathering before summer vacation! Pack your picnic and enjoy fresh fruit and ice cream provided by OneISB, along with international-themed games and activities for students of all ages.
