Ginger Love Garcia will lead "AI in Middle School: Promoting Intention and Preserving Learning." Participants will learn and take away a set of AI-Literacy-Building Classroom Practices created by Harvard’s Project Zero-based Center for Digital Thriving. Ginger will share two examples of the impactful use of AI in Middle School ELA classes, offering insights into design, implementation and assessment strategies for using generative AI to promote, not replace, learning in the classroom.
