Join educators, school leaders, and innovators for AI in K–12 Education: Teaching in Practice, a two-day conference focused on practical applications of artificial intelligence in the classroom. Hosted at the International School of Boston, this professional development event brings together experts from MIT, educators from Franco-American and AISNE networks, and teachers from across the region to explore how AI tools can support teaching, enrich student learning, and strengthen everyday classroom practice.

Whether you are just beginning your AI journey or looking to deepen your approach, this conference offers training, collaboration, and inspiration to help you teach smarter, reimagine assessment, and build AI literacy in both students and educators while keeping relationships, creativity, and meaningful learning at the core.

What to Expect

The following is a preview of our developing program. Check back for updates as we confirm additional sessions and speakers.

Program

The two-day conference features hands-on workshops, thought-provoking panels, and expert-led seminars designed to help educators apply artificial intelligence in real classrooms.

From planning and differentiation to research and assessment, sessions will focus on what works in K–12 settings. The program also includes a keynote and seminar by Charles Fadel, a poster showcase and social reception on Friday, and an optional guided visit to the MIT Museum on Saturday.

Speakers

AI in K–12 Education: Teaching in Practice brings together leading voices in education, technology, and curriculum design to explore how AI can support real classroom practice.

Featured speakers include Charles Fadel (Center for Curriculum Redesign), Pascal Vallet (United Nations International School), and Dan Be Kim (Harvard Graduate School of Education), along with educators and administrators from the Franco-American and AISNE school networks.
