Middle School
Our Signature Programs, After-School Offerings, and Advisory Program ensure that students in Grades 6 through 8 have balanced opportunities outside the classroom to develop new interests, further pursue existing passions, and receive support and guidance as they prepare for Upper School.
In addition to the programs outlined below, all Middle School students participate in our Advisory Program. Students meet in small, grade-level groups facilitated by a faculty or staff member. Advisory groups meet twice a week and address topics relating to Middle School student life, such as friendship, peer pressure, stress, and social media use. Students build connections and a sense of community with their peers, working on important life skills and character development.
Signature Programs
Our Signature Programs in the Middle School support ISB’s Learning Principle, “Learners Use Multiple Perspectives.” Through active participation in the ISB community, support of neighborhood organizations, and travel worldwide, students gain new insights that allow them to develop a more robust understanding of concepts and human experiences.
After-School Programs
When the school day ends, ISB Middle School students immerse themselves in various clubs, programs, and athletic offerings – all deepening their connection to peers and the ISB community.
