Why ISB

A Dynamic, Interdisciplinary Learning Environment

The International School of Boston (ISB) is a private day school for students in Preschool through Grade 12. ISB is among the oldest and most respected multilingual schools in the United States.

Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, our world-class, accredited program places the development of the multilingual brain at the heart of our mission. ISB draws on a long history of academic excellence.

ISB students are immersed in a dynamic interdisciplinary learning environment. In the Elementary and Middle Schools, classes are taught in English and French, forever opening students’ minds to the ideas, insights, and innovations of people, countries, and societies different from their own. Our Upper School prepares students for one of two esteemed international diplomas, the French or the International Baccalaureate, which allows students to apply to any college or university in the world. Our International Baccalaureate Program is taught entirely in English and is a common entry point for local students who appreciate a multicultural community and a rigorous academic curriculum.

Begin Your ISB Journey

ISB is for students who want to be intellectually challenged and are eager to learn with peers from nearly 50 countries. We encourage you to review our admissions considerations below and, when you’re ready, begin your ISB journey.
