Gymnasium & Recess
Through a variety of cooperative games, team sports, and skill building activities, students acquire the knowledge needed to be physically fit and take part in healthy physical activity on a regular basis. This includes being able to identify changes that accompany moderate to vigorous activity and being able to state reasons for safe and controlled movements. Emphasis is also placed on the role of physical activity for physical, mental, and social health. Sports include: gymnastics, track and field, and team sports such as badminton, basketball, floor hockey, kickball, soccer, softball, touch-football, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and water polo.
