Philippe Suhas

Before first joining the ISB Board in 2013, he contributed for two years as a member of the Finance Committee. Philippe served as Treasurer of the Board for three years, then as Chair of the Board for three years until June 2020, and as Chair of the Committee of Trustees until 2025. He rejoined the Board of Trustees in July 2026. 
 
Philippe has held several global executive positions in large, publicly traded companies in Europe and in the U.S. at both Valeo (automotive) as VP/GM of one of their largest divisions and at Sperian (world leader in Personal Protective Equipments, now part of Honeywell Life Safety) as Senior VP in charge of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and more recently as President of their largest businesses based in the U.S. Since 2011, Philippe has been working in the Private Equity sector as Operating Partner and Chairman of the Board and CEO of PE-owned companies.
 
He holds an engineering degree from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and an MBA from Hautes Études Commerciales (France). Philippe was French born of Spanish descent. Both Philippe and his wife, Alexandra, as well as their two children, are American and French binationals. Their two children joined ISB in 2007 when the family relocated to Boston; their daughter Camille graduated from ISB and received her IB Diploma in 2018. She graduated from ESCP Europe in 2021. The family revels in multi-cultural environments and speaks French at home.
