Dr. Fawzi Benzaghou

Fawzi Benzaghou is currently Chief Medical Officer at Parabilis Medicines, a pioneering biotechnology company in oncology headquartered in Boston. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Global Head of Oncology, at Ipsen, a global pharmaceutical company, and led several senior roles in the oncology area, in both Boston and Paris. Before joining Ipsen, Fawzi worked as a Senior Clinical Lead at a European-based biotech for a couple of years.
Fawzi is a board-certified pediatric surgeon who graduated from Université Paris-Cité, France, and practiced for several years in hospitals in Paris, including Necker Children's Hospital, before joining the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a master's degree from ESSEC Business School (Paris). Fawzi also graduated from Harvard Business School, where he actively participates in forums at the US and global levels. He's a member of several scientific societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society for Medical Oncology, and a co-author of several publications in top-ranked journals.
Fawzi is a global citizen who grew up in Algeria and spent the second part of his life in Europe, with work experiences in Latin America and Asia, before settling in the United States. He's married with two children who both went through ISB. The family enjoys the multicultural environment. Fawzi is chairing the ISB Finance Committee and is a member of the ISB Board of Trustees.
