Dr. Fawzi Benzaghou

Fawzi Benzaghou is an MD and senior executive in the life sciences, focused on developing innovative drugs. He has held several senior roles: Chief Medical Officer at Parabilis Medicines, a pioneering biotech company; Senior Vice President & Global Head of Oncology at Ipsen, a global pharmaceutical company; and, earlier in his career, Clinical Development Lead at a European-based biotech.

Fawzi is a board-certified pediatric surgeon who graduated from Université Paris-Cité, France, and practiced for several years in Paris hospitals, including Necker Children's Hospital, before joining the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a master's degree from ESSEC Business School (Paris) and is also a graduate of Harvard Business School, where he actively participates in various forums at the US and global levels. He is a member of several scientific societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Society for Medical Oncology, and has co-authored several publications in top-ranked journals.

Fawzi is a global citizen who grew up in Algeria and spent the second part of his life in Europe, with work experiences in Latin America and Asia, before settling in the United States. He is married with two children, both of whom attended ISB. The family enjoys the multicultural environment.
