Jeremy Wohlwend

Jeremy Wohlwend is a graduate of ISB and a 2017 graduate of MIT. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in both Computer Science and in Mathematics, as well as a Master's of Engineering Degree in Computer Science. At MIT, Jeremy’s coursework involved computer science, artificial intelligence, neuroscience and mathematics. Jeremy also spent his last two years working with Edward Boyden’s Synthetic Neurobiology group in the MIT Media Lab. His past research focused on connectomics, which is the study of neural circuits and their computation. Since September 2017, Jeremy has joined the research team at ASAPP, a New York City based startup whose goal is to bring cutting-edge artificial intelligence to corporations and businesses.

Jeremy was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, where his family currently resides. He moved to the United States at sixteen and attended ISB for his last two years of high school. He transitioned from the Swiss Maturité program to the French Baccalaureate, in the scientific section. Although his time at ISB was short, Jeremy says that he made many friends, with whom he still keeps in touch. It was at ISB where Jeremy truly realized his passion for mathematics and sciences, and made the decision to apply to MIT to pursue studies in science and technology. Jeremy feels excited about the opportunity to contribute to the development and success of an institution that brought him confidence and ambition during some of his most formative years.
