Natalie Petrossian


Natalie is a Research Associate at Beam Therapeutics, a Cambridge-based IPO where she is harnessing the potential of CRISPR base editing to develop precise corrections for rare genetic disorders of the nervous system. Before joining Beam Therapeutics in 2018 during its early start-up phase, she studied the genetic risk-factors of schizophrenia as a member of Kevin Eggan's group at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in the Biological Sciences with a specialization in Neuroscience. Natalie plans to earn her MBA and pursue a business career within the biotechnology industry so she can continue to work towards creating and delivering new therapies for patients suffering from rare genetic disorders. Natalie is a proud ISB lifer, who started in Maternelle and graduated with an IB diploma in 2012.
